First, let me make something clear first. This book, The Atlantis Codex, is a work of fiction. That's it!As for the fiction, this latest Warner and Lopez thriller is a real cracker spanning half the globe. Mix in Petrov, the Russian thug and his band of Russian heavyweights as well as Foxx from the DIA and his complement of Seals, all of them lethally interested in getting hold of Ethan and Nicola and Lucy Morgan, then you will start to get an idea how much the odds are stacked against them.
The action follows one after the other with hardly time to take a proper breath inbetween.
Hunting down and interpreting the scarce clues to the location of Atlantis, is equally exciting
In a parallel thread a journalist, Allison, is disgraced as she hunts down evidence of huge corruption in the government, seeming to run into brick walls everywhere.
The only thing that really puzzles me is the repeated references to alien relics (related in more detail in previous adventures) that actually has no real bearing on this search for Atlantis at all.
Dean Crawford knows how to turn on the screws for a suspenseful thriller from start to finish. Enjoy.

The Atlantis Codex Warner Lopez Book 7 edition by Dean Crawford Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
I enjoyed the Warner and Lopez series. The ending of Book 7 however was a little week for a 7 book series. Really kind of anticlimactic and left me feeling a little thereafter having read the entire story over several months.
As a longtime fan and reader of all this series of books, I was very disappointed that Dean chose to make obvious current political statements. It was obvious that he used the election of President Trump and the media "fake news" portrayal of events to make his personal beliefs known. Having said those things, I did enjoy the basic story about the search for and finding of Atlantis. I only downgraded my rating to 3 Stars due to his inclusion of political statements.
Once again the conspiracy of MJ-12 drags Warner, Lopez and usual suspects into a death dealing combination involving the U.S. & Russian players. Recent events are interestingly woven into plot with Russian hackers and the new US government players taking the centre stage. Well done Dean. I look forward to the next novel in the next few months.
I have read several of Mr. Crawford' books and bought this one thinking it would be of the same caliber. IT IS NOT,! It is like the author just wrote this book in one sitting, thinking of politics one one hand and his characters on another and mashed them together. Not good. There are soooo many spelling mistakes in just the few pages I have read, it is making it difficult to think of reading the rest. I detest spelling errors. Authors should always have editors or beta readers to proofread and I doubt he had one. If he did, I could do better. I try not to write critical reviews, but the author has to know this book was not up to his usual standard.
I really liked Dean Crawford’s books…until this one.
This political rant kicked him off my authors list.
From the beginning to the end, Crawford shoves his personal opinions about our American politics in our face. Like Trump or not, this Brit’s poorly veiled innuendo smeared an American President. And it wasn’t just innuendo; he outright named Donald Trump.
If I wanted to hear political prejudices, I would have turned on the news.
Read JC Ryan’s books. They’re very much like Crawford’s…minus the intrusive insults to America.
I enjoy reading these fiction books, even if they have political fiction in them that drive the story line. This book had way too much ranting about the current president (AKA Trump). The previous 6 books discussed "A" president but did nothing to tie it to current politics. Only historical references to majestic 12 and other conspiracy theories. I understand the current political issues could be considered conspiracy theories but I read these books to escape them and see the amazing way he can tie all of these sci-fi conspiracies and theories into a giant web that all seems to fit together perfectly. But I don't need to get his opinion on the "he said, she said" toddler like bickering that is the political status in america today. I get enough of that from every media platform out there, I had thought a fiction book would not be drawn into that.
If he writes another book I will probably check it out as long as it doesn't rant as much about his political standings and sticks to the fiction.
Yes, this is another story about the mythical lost city of Atlantis. However, this book adds new and interesting twists to a story almost everyone has heard about. The action is never slow, the characters are good, bad, and the mislead. Don't mind the grammatical and spelling errors, because the story moves along fast enough for you to forget them. Also, this can be read as a stand-alone, if you haven't gotten around to the previous six books in the series.
